Does Chondroitin Sulfate Work?
To answer this question, let’s take a look at the results of a meta-analysis recently published in the esteemed medical journal, Annals of Internal Medicine ( Reichenbach S et al, 2007).
“Large-scale, methodologically sound trials indicate that the symptomatic benefit of chondroitin is minimal or nonexistent. Use of chondroitin in routine clinical practice should therefore be discouraged (Reichenbach et al, 2007).”
According to the results of this recent publication in the medical journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, people who take dietary supplements which include chondroitin sulfate may be wasting their time and their money on these products.
